Quality Assurance Review
February 08, 2010
Thayer Schools will be finishing their accreditation process by hosting a Quality Assurance Review Feb. 25, 2010. The accreditation process is based on a five-year term accreditation. The process helps schools continuously improve by providing external checks, support, and feedback. Five professionals from neighboring schools will be reviewing Thayer's School Improvement Plan and the results of their school improvement efforts. Teachers, students, parents and community members will also be a part of the on-site visit to provide information to the visiting team.
The purpose of the Quality Assurance Review is to
1. Evaluate the school’s adherence to the standards.
2. Assess the effectiveness of the school’s improvement efforts.
3. Review performance results and how those results are used to inform improvement efforts.
4. Provide high-quality feedback with clear recommendations and actionable next steps.
5. Make an accreditation recommendation.
The Quality Assurance Review is viewed as a positive measure in the school accreditation process of growth and continuous improvement. If you have questions or concerns about school accreditation, contact us for more information.
