On Monday, October 11 the Cherryvale Fire Department came to Lincoln Central with the Fire Truck. What a great time the students had as they got to take their turn spraying the hose, getting in the firetruck, and learning the different parts on the truck that are needed when fighting a fire. Lincoln Central hosted Muffins with Moms during the week of October 10-14. What a great time we had with all the moms coming to school and eating breakfast with their children.
One of the fun things that students like to do in the Fall is carve and decorate pumpkins. The sixth grade students had some friendly competition to see who could decorate their pumpkin the best. I am not sure who won but from the looks of the pumpkins the students did a great job!
The Week of October 3-7 Lincoln Central invited dads to come eat breakfast with their their kids. A Big Thank goes to all the dads that were able to come and participate in Donuts with Dads! On Friday, September 30 the Lincoln Central sixth grade students got to take a field trip to Woolaroc. Not only did they get to view the museum but the frontiersmen were there that day all dressed in their outfits. Lincoln Central was once again privileged to have Randy Nadler with us on Thursday, September 22. Each summer Mr. Nadler goes to a country and learns everything he can about it and then during the school year travels across the country giving assemblies and sharing all that he has learned. On Monday, September 19 Lincoln Central's 3rd through 6th Grade Students were entertained by Jefferson Knapp, Book Author and Publisher. Mr. Knapp grew up in Kansas, just outside of Wichita.
