On Saturday, April 30 PTC sponsored the annual school carnival. What a great time everyone had! Lots of games, prizes, and food all added up to a fun time! A Big Thank You goes to PTC and all of the parent volunteers that made this the best school carnival ever!
On Thursday, April 28 Lincoln Central had the privilege of having Dr.Leroy Chau present to us his remarkable career as an astronaut. It was amazing to hear as he shared his many adventures traveling in space with the highlight of actually getting to see his spacewalks. As a former NASA astronaut, Dr.Chau has logged over 229 days in Earth orbit and performed six spacewalks in support of construction of the International Space Station . . .
On Wednesday, April 27 the Lincoln Central third graders got to go on a field trip to the Jenks Aquarium and the Tulsa Zoo. The kids, teachers, parents, and the principal all had a great time! As the principal, I was very pleased with how well our students represented our school and community! A Big Thank You to all the parents who went and helped supervise the students!
On Saturday, April 23 Lincoln Central Student Council sponsored a Dodge Ball Tournament in the Lincoln Central Gym. It was great seeing all the kids and parents having some friendly competition. On Wednesday, April 13 the Lincoln Central fourth grade students got to take a field trip to Kansas City to Union Station to experience the wonder of science at Science City. There were a lot of activities that the students got to do that involved science such as digging for dinosaurs and learning to generate their own electricity. On Tuesday, April 19 Lincoln Central had the privilege of having Body Venture thanks to Food Service Director Gabriele Ecret and P.E. Teacher Deanna Owens. Body Venture is a fun way to learn all about the different body systems. The presentation was set up in the gym. Students rotated through each system getting a clear understanding of how each body system works. At the end, each student was given a healthy snack. . . .
