Each year in May we honor nurses everywhere for their contributions to their patients and the profession. USD 447 is blessed to have a great nurse, Aimee Strickland. Thank you, Nurse Strickland for all that you do for our student patients and our district!



Each year the first full week in May is dedicated to the nation's teachers as National Teacher Appreciation Week. USD 447 is fortunate to have some of the most caring dedicated teachers in the business! This week when you see a teacher, thank them for their efforts with students and for helping to shape lives everyday. Thank you, teachers for all that you do to help shape the future!



The first Friday in May, schools across the nation celebrate National School Lunch Hero Day. USD 447 Cherryvale Thayer has the best food service staff in the land! In fact, it was recently reported by a student that they were "EXEMPLARY"! Thank you, ladies, for all that you do for our students and staff, to keep us healthy and well fed!




Every May 1st, schools across the nation celebrate National Schools Principal's Day. USD 447 Cherryvale Thayer is blessed to have some of the most dedicated, caring, and hardworking Principals in the business. Mr. Renfro, Mr. Knight, and Mr. Rehmert, thank you for all that you do for our students, staff, and patrons every day!



USD 447 is blessed with great support staff. A big part of that support comes from the administrative support staff that helps in all of our school offices every day! Thank you for the work that you do to help our students, staff, parents, and community!

The Lincoln Central Elementary Chess Team competed in the State Chess tournament at Emporia State University on March 9th and received the third place trophy! Additionally, there were two individual medalists; Tripp Vincen in 18th place and Graig Edwards in 37th
