We are excited to announce that Labette Health Cherryvale Clinic will be offering FREE sports physicals Friday April 17th from 8:30 - 12:00 p.m. for the 2026-2027 school year. This is available to all students 6-8 in Thayer and 7-12 in Cherryvale. Students will be transported from school to the clinic.
Students must be registered using the link below no later than April 13th. Parents and Students must complete and sign all proper paperwork and turn into Nurse Strickland to attend the FREE sports physical day.

The Kansas Scholastic State Chess Championship was held at Emporia State University on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Lincoln Central Elementary was represented this year by two players in the K-5 division. There were 90 players in the K-5 Section - Lane Ferguson medaled in 24th place. Eliza Jones medaled in 82nd place. Additionally, Coach Ryan Hizey was named Executive Director of the Kansas Scholastic Chess Association. Congratulations to all. Go Chargers!!!

A post 40 years in the making - On this date in 1985, Steve Lain began working for USD 447 as a member of our custodial staff. Today marks the official anniversary of his start date all those years ago. Congratulations, Steve on your milestone and as the longest serving active member of the USD 447 staff! Thank you for all you do and have done for the Charger community for 40 years!

The 3rd and 4th grades at Lincoln-Central will perform their Holiday concert on December 9th at 6:00 pm in the LC Gym. This is a change of date from the printed calendar.
