The class of 2025 will be allowed to pick senior parking spots and customize their spot by painting. This will take placed August 17 at 8 AM. This will be on a first come first serve basis. Spots cannot be saved. Students are responsible for providing all supplies, (paint brushes, rollers, masking tape, etc.) All spots must be returned to original condition by graduation check out. This is a fun activity, so please come ready to enjoy the day. This activity usually concludes by noon. If you have questions, please call the CMHS office. This week we traveled to Manhattan, Kansas to kick off the 96th Kansas FFA Convention!Members enjoyed doing various things such as attending the General Sessions, Ty Myers concert at The Hat, Mini Golf, Bowling on the Fort Riley Military Base, Ignite the Night at the Rec. This morning started off with the State Degree Awards Session!

Each year in May we honor nurses everywhere for their contributions to their patients and the profession. USD 447 is blessed to have a great nurse, Aimee Strickland. Thank you, Nurse Strickland for all that you do for our student patients and our district!


Each year the first full week in May is dedicated to the nation's teachers as National Teacher Appreciation Week. USD 447 is fortunate to have some of the most caring dedicated teachers in the business! This week when you see a teacher, thank them for their efforts with students and for helping to shape lives everyday. Thank you, teachers for all that you do to help shape the future!


The first Friday in May, schools across the nation celebrate National School Lunch Hero Day. USD 447 Cherryvale Thayer has the best food service staff in the land! In fact, it was recently reported by a student that they were "EXEMPLARY"! Thank you, ladies, for all that you do for our students and staff, to keep us healthy and well fed!

The Lincoln Central Elementary Chess Team competed in the State Chess tournament at Emporia State University on March 9th and received the third place trophy! Additionally, there were two individual medalists; Tripp Vincen in 18th place and Graig Edwards in 37th

This week was Read Across America Week and Lincoln Central staff and students took part in dress activities all week long! It was a great week of activities. Here are some of the great costumes that staff had to "Read Across the Decades."
A new club formed at CMHS this spring - CMHS Tech Club. In the preliminary organizational meeting there were 13 students who took part. Students are working on building PC towers for use in the CMHS Tech Club lab. Go Chargers!
