Yesterday, Cherryvale High Schools students represented the Chargers at the High School Regional Music Festival. The High School Choir, Aubri Bennett, Elizabeth Landis, and Jasmyn Kebert received a 2 on their performances.
Congratulations to Kinsey Cook and Remedy Lew is who qualified for State with their Instrumentals and Kinsey Cook, Elizabeth Landis, and Maria Perez who qualified for State in Vocal Solos as they received a 1 rating. State Music Festival will be held on April 26th at Southeast of Saline High School.

Congratulations to one of our own, Mr. Gene Cox. He was recognized as the NFHS 2024 Active Official of the Year for Section 5, which includes Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. He’s spent many years working hard and giving his best to high school athletes. He also finds time to help coach our middle school Chargers and Flyers in football and basketball. The Lincoln Central Elementary Chess Team competed at the Royster Chess Tournament in Chanute this past weekend. The Charger team took 2nd place honors! The Chargers will travel to Emporia State University this weekend to compete in the Kansas Scholastic Chess Association State Chess Tournament. The team is pictured with Coach Ryan Hizey. Congratulations to Alyanna Barrager as she took home 4th place at the 3,2,1A State Wrestling Tournament in Hays, KS. After winning her first match, Alyanna lost her second, and battled hard Saturday to bring home the 4th place medal in the 100lb weight class. We are so proud of her accomplishments as a freshman this season, and can't wait to see her hit the mat next year.
