We'd like to welcome Mrs. Bogle to Thayer Schools!
Hey! I’m Shannon Bogle, and this is my 25th year teaching middle school. I have spent the last 20 years at Royster Middle School in Chanute, KS teaching and coaching. Before going to Chanute, I taught and coached at Elk Valley in Longton, KS. I am so excited to teach Science and Reading for grades 6-8 in Thayer! I feel like I’m “coming home” as I attended Kindergarten through 12th grade at Thayer. I had an amazing experience and I want to give other kids the same opportunity. I have been married to my awesome husband, Matt, for 27 years. We have three children. Shayla is married to Caden Hayward, and they have blessed us with two granddaughters, Saylor and Dotson. Tyra is engaged to Parker Henson, and both are attending Pitt State. Thor is a freshman and attends Chanute High School. My family means the world to me, and I love spending time with them! In the mornings, you can find me outside overlooking the lake, enjoying my creamer with a little bit of coffee. Haha. My “several” cats and golden retriever, Koda, keep me entertained as well. I love spending time outside and mowing my yard. I grew up on a tractor, so my lawnmower is about as close as I get to driving a tractor, unless I go home to help my dad and mom on the farm. I’ve never felt more excited to start a new school year! I pray I can be a positive influence and role model to all those I come in contact with.

Sr parking selection is underway. GO CHARGERS.

Tri-Valley League would like to share a statement to all coaches, players, and fans.

We would like to officially welcome Mrs. O'Brien to Thayer Schools!
I am so excited to join the Thayer education team as the Preschool Teacher. It is a wonderful opportunity to help start such an important program for your community. I have been in the education profession for over 25 years and have experience with Head Start, kindergarten, and preschool. It is so important to get students on a solid foundation in their education journey. All students should have the opportunity to learn and experience life.
I live in rural Cherryvale and am married to Ron O'Brien. We have three adult boys who are alumni of 447's Charger Nation. We enjoy our seven grandchildren and the activities in the farming industry. My hobbies include cooking and traveling with our family, sewing, and crocheting.
I am looking forward to meeting my students and others in this nice small community and continue my work in the USD 447 district. Go Flyers!
