High School KAY Club had a ton of fun at their monthly meeting making Frankenstein rice krispie treats. KAY Club tends to focus on service, but team building and recreation time are important too. It was a great meeting with lots of laughs.

The first hour JAG-K class (Freshmen) were excited to host JAG-K President, Chuck Knapp in our class this morning. He was in our area for some meetings and wanted to stop in to see how our new JAG-K Program was going here at CMHS during 1st hour. We took a group picture and Chuck promised the students he would put them outside his office. Apparently Chuck makes pretty good time: going from Cherryvale this morning to other stops in Southeast Kansas and then back to the JAG-K offices in Topeka; and having the time to get the picture up and framed outside his office door!

We are excited about Homecoming at CMHS. We have decided to make a change in the Powder Puff activities for this year. We will be rescheduling the games for Thursday, October 16. The Powder Puff Football Game will be at 6:00 PM at Logan Park Stadium and the Powder Puff Volleyball Game will follow the CMHS Gymnasium (October 16). This change is due to the hosting of the Neodesha Bluestreaks on Thursday October 2 in middle school activities. This game has TVL Championship implications. After the completion of the middle school football game, we will have the traditional homecoming bon fire at the CMHS parking lot. Please come out and support the middle school Chargers (volleyball at 4:30 and football at 6:00) and end the evening getting excited for the Caney Valley Bullpups coming to town for the homecoming game Friday night. Go Chargers.
