CMHS New Teacher Spotlight I am Sarah Jones and I will be teaching choir for both middle and high school at CMHS as well as music classes at Thayer School. I am married to Seth Jones, a graduate of 447, and we have three children who attend school in Cherryvale: Anderson- 7th grade, Adelaide- 6th and Eliza-4th. Most recently I taught taught elementary music in Independence, Kansas, but but I have experience teaching all ages of music, from Kindergarten through high school, having taught in Herington, Overland Park, and Manhattan, Kansas. I grew up in Emporia, Kansas, and have degrees from both Kansas State University (GO WILDCATS!) and Emporia State University. We are big Wildcat fans, Chiefs and Royals fans, and of course love to watch our own kids in their sporting events and musical performances. I am so excited to be a member of the 447 team and am looking forward to helping even more students to create, explore and express themselves through music, all while helping to build a strong sense of community across our schools. I hope to see lots of students add choir to their middle and high school schedules- try something new!!
