Cherryvale Middle School boys took 2nd place in the Tri-Valley League tournament in Neodesha this morning. What a season it was for these boys. Go Chargers!
Tonight five members of the Cherryvale charger band represented CMHS at the annual - Dale Casteel Symphony of Winds in a wonderful night of music with representatives from nine other area bands. Representing CMHS - Aubrianna Bennett, Brejaya Hopkins, Leah Wilson, Maddie McClelland, Remedy Hopkins. The Band is under the direction of Mr. Tad Lafferty. Go Chargers!

Congratulations to our Middle School Basketball teams as they both came away with wins last night in Bluestem. They will move on to Round 2 of the TVL Basketball Tournament on Thursday in Neodesha.
Due to injuries, the Hartford Girls Varsity basketball game is cancelled for Thursday. Attached is the new order of information for Thursday and the Homecoming Ceremony.
FCCLA Students on Wednesday, went to help run STAR Events and submitted an LEO for competition! An LEO stands for Leadership Education Opportunities. These help students gain experience and confidence in competitive events as well as more knowledge of FCCLA! With the LEO's, they will be able to attend the State Leadership Conference in April!
The students who didn't complete an LEO or STAR Event today had the opportunity to help run the timers for the judges and also learn what a STAR Event is!
Also a big shout-out to Mrs. Whittley for helping out by being a judge for District J-West!
CHS will celebrate Homecoming next week. Students are encouraged to participate and join in on the fun of dressing up next week.

2-9-2026 CMHS Announcements
The CMHS Charger Champs traveled to Neodesha today to compete in basketball. The Charger Champs battled hard, ultimately falling short to Fredonia. The Champs came home with a second place trophy. Go Chargers!
Several CMHS KAY Club members attended the Area 2 Unit Conference on Thursday, January 29th. Members had the opportunity to hear guest speakers, learn new ideas for service projects, and to connect with other KAY Clubs across southeast Kansas. Our students represented CMHS well!
On Sunday, the District Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition was held in Coffeyville. These winners will advance to the Regional Competition on Sunday, February 15th in Chanute. Congratulations to our Chargers who represented Cherryvale!
