Cherryvale Middle High School

Regan Edwards represented Cherryvale FFA in The Grand Drive sheep show at the Kansas State Fair. She showed 2 market lambs and 1 breeding ewe. She also showed 1 market goat and 1 breeding doe. She will represent Cherryvale FFA again at the Kansas Junior Livestock Show the first weekend of October. Congratulations Regan and Go Chargers.

CHS seniors attended Labette Community College Senior Day Adventure. The kids had a really good experience and met staff members that they will be working with in the future. Go Chargers.

The Cherryvale FFA would like to formally invite you to our first ever community watermelon feed and corn hole tournament. The officers have been working very hard planning and organizing this event to bring to the Cherryvale community. Come enjoy some free watermelon and get together a team to compete in our corn hole tournament. This will be held in Logan Park on September 28th at 3:00pm rain or shine. Get a team together for our first ever corn hole tournament. Entry fees are $20 a team. Please register your team by scanning the QR code below and filling out the google form. Deadlines to enter the corn hole tournament is September 24th. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. The Middle School Volleyball "C" team game in Thayer, today 9/2/25, has been cancelled. A will begin at 4:00 followed by B.

CHS kicks off the football season in Nedoesha on Friday, Sept. 5th. The theme chosen by the cheerleaders is TROPICAL! Dress in your best tropical outfit and come out and support the Chargers in Neodesha as we kick off at 7:00 p.m. in Neodesha.

Our first home football game is Military Night. If you'd like a shirt, please send all pre-orders to ksmith@usd447.org no later than September 4th at 1:00 p.m. Proceeds will be donated to a veteran charity.

After an abbreviated schedule, the CMHS student body had a friendly completion in the afternoon. It consisted of Kickball, Dodgeball, Tug of War, Snow cones and ended with the singing of the school fight song played by the CHS band. We are hard at it today, ending the 1st week of school strong.
