This week was Bus Safety Week across the state of Kansas. USD 447 took part in helping to educate students about safety in and around our buses. The USD 447 transportation department would also like to thank our community watching out for our school buses as they are in route and at stops as we transport our students. Thank you!

Third grade got to go back in time to experience school as a student in the late 1800's at Little House on the Prairie on Friday, October 17th.

5th grade has been full of matter mysteries! They’ve worked with chemical and physical changes; coating a penny in copper, testing chemical reactions, and making some Non-Newtonian fluids (slime and oobleck). Oh and we can’t forget the time we watched carbon dioxide gas fill up and pop a ziplock bag. Nothing dangerous, just vinegar and baking soda. All in the name of science!

All USD 447 third graders experienced building parachutes using teamwork this past Tuesday at Greenbush!
They got to use their math, communication, building, and recording skills to see how they could improve their parachute creations!
