Congratulations to one of our own, Mr. Gene Cox. He was recognized as the NFHS 2024 Active Official of the Year for Section 5, which includes Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. He’s spent many years working hard and giving his best to high school athletes. He also finds time to help coach our middle school Chargers and Flyers in football and basketball. The Lincoln Central Elementary Chess Team competed at the Royster Chess Tournament in Chanute this past weekend. The Charger team took 2nd place honors! The Chargers will travel to Emporia State University this weekend to compete in the Kansas Scholastic Chess Association State Chess Tournament. The team is pictured with Coach Ryan Hizey. Congratulations to Alyanna Barrager as she took home 4th place at the 3,2,1A State Wrestling Tournament in Hays, KS. After winning her first match, Alyanna lost her second, and battled hard Saturday to bring home the 4th place medal in the 100lb weight class. We are so proud of her accomplishments as a freshman this season, and can't wait to see her hit the mat next year.

Congratulations to the Lady Chargers who are moving on to the Semi-Finals in the 3A Sub-State Bracket. With a big win over Anderson County 56-24, the Lady Chargers will host again on Tuesday 3/4/25 at 7:00 p.m.
Congratulations to the Lady Charger Basketball Team who brought home a League Title Championship for the first time in school history! What a season it has been for the Lady Chargers, under the leadership of Head Coach Kelsey Overacker. Coach Overacker accomplished her 100th win this season as Head Coach, the Lady Chargers went on a 13 game win streak, and finished in Tri-Valley League standings 6-1 in League games, and share the title of Tri-Valley League Champions for the 2024-2025 Basketball Season.
