The Cherryvale High School Band is back home. They received a II rating at the State Large Group Contest at Pittsburg State University. Pictures are of the "Walk of Champions", a tradition where we send off or welcome Chargers back from state competitions. Great job band and Mr. Lafferty. Go Chargers.




The Middle School Lego Club took their end of the year trip to LegoLand in Kansas City. They spent time enjoying all things Lego and completing STEM activities.


Mr. Lickteig’s design and art students taught art and science lessons to the Lincoln Central Pre-K and 1st Grade.

What an amazing night. The Mad Tea Party put on by the Cherryvale Middle High School Drama Club was AMAZING. Thank you to all the talented students on stage and behind the scenes. Mrs. Fosnight's productions get better every performance and over time. If you missed tonight's performance, there will be another on Saturday March 23 at 1:00 pm in the Cherryvale High School Gymnasium. Come out and support these talented young students. Great job. On Saturday, March 9th, members of the CM/HS Chess Team attended the Kansas Scholastic Chess Association's State Chess Meet at Emporia State University. Representing CHS in the K-12 Division were Juniors Morgan Lasco (2 pts) and Jamaal Mason (3.5 pts) and Sophomores Westen Erbe (2 pts) and Wyatt Starrett (4 pts). Receiving medals were Jamaal Mason 55th place and Wyatt Starrett 45th place out of 157 competitors in all classifications 1A-6A. As a team they finished in 6th place, due to tiebreaks, out of the nine 3A teams, having tied with 5th place Ellinwood High School, and 11th place out of the 26 1A-6A schools at the meet.
Competing for CMS in the K-8 Division was Chandler Amberg scoring 2 points.

A new club formed at CMHS this spring - CMHS Tech Club. In the preliminary organizational meeting there were 13 students who took part. Students are working on building PC towers for use in the CMHS Tech Club lab. Go Chargers!
