On 10/18/2023 CMHS held our annual National Honor Society Induction Ceremony and Academic Letter Award winners. This was attended by the entire student body and parents that were available to attend. Our students looked great and it was nice to recognize so many students for success in the classroom.

Very few professionals truly like to be in the lime light. But today, here at CMHS, Mr. Villarreal had a student in distress, jumped into action, performed the Heimlich and possibly helped overt a bad situation. We have a district full of adults that love kids. I am proud to be able to work with these amazing professionals daily. Go Chargers.

It's official... The results are in! Congratulations to the Cherryvale Middle School Volleyball team for a great season . The Chargers placed second in the TVL in 2023!

Last there will be a wrestling 101 night immediately following the meeting starting (approximately 5:45) to show some basic wrestling and scoring positions for any parents that don’t understand much about it.
If you have any other questions before then please let me know. Attached is the schedule for yourselves as well.

Cherryvale High School Freshman Class Explores Phillips 66 and Price Tower!
Our recent field trip to Phillips 66 in Bartlesville, OK was led by one of our own – Brooke Blaes, a 2015 Cherryvale alumni and the daughter of Melanie Blaes, a dedicated aide at Lincoln Central Library.
Here are the highlights of the students enriching day:
1. **Price Tower Exploration**: Our journey began with a visit to the iconic Price Tower, the only skyscraper designed by the legendary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Witnessing Wright's architectural genius up close was inspiring.
2. **Phillips 66 Museum**: Next on our agenda was the Phillips 66 Museum, where we delved into the company's rich history and groundbreaking contributions to the energy industry.
3. **Career Panel Discussion**: The most insightful part of our day was the engaging career panel discussion. Thanks to Brooke's meticulous planning, we had the privilege of learning from professionals, including Brooke, at Phillips 66. This experience broadened students' horizons and revealed the diverse career opportunities within the company.
4. **Phillips Office Building Tour**: To wrap up our memorable trip, we were treated to an exclusive tour of the Phillips office building. This behind-the-scenes glimpse into the corporate world was truly impressive. We explored an underground tunnel system, a top-notch gymnasium, a bowling alley, a fitness room, and even an indoor competitive swimming pool!
Our field trip was a valuable educational experience that opened the student's eyes to exciting career possibilities. A special shoutout to Brooke Blaes for her outstanding planning and to Phillips 66 for welcoming us with open arms and providing us with this enlightening opportunity.
