Winter practices will begin at CMHS on Monday, November 17th. Please see the attached flyer for when/where student athletes will need to be if they plan on participating. All athletes must have a sports physical on file before they can participate. They are encouraged to attend practices until they have met all requirements.

CMHS took a group of Juniors and Seniors to "Panther Preview Day" at Neosho County Community College. At NCCC's Main Campus, students were able to tour campus, interact with departmental representatives, and eat lunch in the cafeteria. After lunch, we were able to tour the Mitchell Career and Technology Center to see the many CTE programs including Plumbing, Maintenance Technology, Construction Technology, HVAC, Electrical Technology and Aircraft Sheet Metal Assembly. Students won giveaways and we also had one student win a $250 scholarship!

Thanks to everyone who collaborated to make the College Fair a success! 30+ colleges, universities, and technical schools connected with 120 students through 965+ interactions. Students explored exciting post-grad options from CMHS. Excited for the Spring Career Fair, college visits, and more student support ahead! Also, A special shoutout to teachers, custodial team, admin, and staff—your support made it happen. Thank you!

Cherryvale hosted a chess tournament Saturday, November 1st where members of the Lincoln-Central, Cherryvale Middle school, and Cherryvale High School teams all competed. The CMS team finished in first place above Frontenac and Independence. Those placing for CMS were Zadin Blake 2nd(5-1), Tripp Vincen 4th(4.5-1.5), Jacob Holt 5th(4.5-1.5), Graig Edwards 8th(4-2), Shawn House 9th(4-2), Jet Tracy 10th(4-2), and Anderson Jones 16th(3.5-1.5).
Placing for Cherryvale High School's team was Wyatt Starrett 11th(3-3)

The Cherryvale Lady Chargers head to Galena tonight to play in the Regional Quad. They will face off with Galena at 4:00 p.m. followed by 5:00 p.m. against Osage City and finish the night at 6:20 against Pamona - West Franklin.

Cherryvale Middle School A team will travel to Humboldt Tuesday, October 21st, to compete in the TVL League tournament. They will have their first game at 3:00 p.m. This tournament will conclude their season.

Congratulations to the CMS/Thayer 7th and 8th grade boys for an undefeated season and ending the year with a big win over Eureka. For the third time in a row, Cherryvale has brought home the TVL League Championship title, undefeated.
