
Brian Treesh from Wyoming Tech was on campus yesterday visiting with students in the AG Education classes. It was a great opportunity for students to explore different opportunities after high school. Go Chargers.



On Saturday, February 1st, four members of the CM/HS Chess team attended a tournament hosted by Coffeyville Schools. In the k-12 division Wyatt Starrett finished in 10th place with a 4-2 record and in the k-8 division Jacob Holt finished in 18th place(3-3), Anderson Jones finished in 9th place(4-2), and Zadin Blake finished in 8th place(4-2).


Erie KS - It was a great night of wrestling for both Charger wrestling squads. After a hard fought night of action, the boys and girls teams won the 2024-25 Tri-Valley League Wrestling Titles! Congratulations and best of luck as both teams prepare for regional wresting.

Due to illnesses, the JV girls basketball game scheduled tonight at 4:00 against Erie, is now starting at 4:15 and will be 3 quarters.


Congratulations to the Lady Chargers for winning the War on 54 Mid-Season Basketball tournament in Iola. Harmony John and Kadynce Forman made All Tournament First Team and Tatum Marchant who made All Tournament Second Team.

JV games scheduled for tonight, 1/31/25, against Bluestem are canceled. Order of play for tonight's games will be 6:00 Varsity girls followed by Varsity Boys.
Senior Night will begin at the conclusion of the Varsity Girls game.


Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Adame have been nominated for the 2025 Nationwide Insurance Golden Owl Award, recognizing excellence in agricultural education across Kansas. This honor highlights the dedication of our program, the support of our administration, and the enthusiasm of our students!

Thursday bracket update for the High School Mid- Season War on 54 basketball tournament.
Lady Chargers won 54-24 over Anderson County and will face Humboldt Thursday at 6:30 at Iola Elementary.
The Chargers fell to Anderson County 72-24 and will face off against Yates Center on Thursday at Iola Elementary at 8:00.

Students from across SEK were selected by their teachers to sing in a mass choir working with a guest conductor all day and ending with a concert. CMHS students represented 447 well and truly enjoyed their time! Go Chargers



Early this morning, to start off 2025 winter homecoming Friday, members of the CHS Basketball and Wrestling teams welcomed students to school at Lincoln Central and Thayer to helped spread a bit of Homecoming Cheer! Way to go Chargers!







High School Basketball is traveling to Iola for the War on 54 tournament the week of January 21st. Attached is the bracket for the boys and girls. The chargers kick off the tournament with the girls at 6:30 on Tuesday v. Anderson County and the boys at 8:00 v. Anderson County.


Middle School Basketball games scheduled on 1/9/25 are now rescheduled for 1/28/25.
